Black Bear Golf Club gives players the best in Northern Wisconsin golf. The scenic course located in Minong, Wisconsin, debuted in 2001 with a simple goal — to be the best in Northern Wisconsin golf. A decade later, we’ve achieved that goal. Meanwhile, we continue to make improvements, brainstorm new ways to enhance the Northern Wisconsin golf experience, and, most importantly, serve our players.
While playing the course, you’ll meet The Bear. When dealing with The Bear, you will need strength, but towards the end of the fight you will need touch. The Bear happens to be hole number 9 at our course — our longest par 5. Players with stronger drives will thrive. At the end, however, the hole favors touch due to its large green that slopes away upon approach.
When you play Northern Wisconsin golf at Black Bear Golf Club you will surely become intimately familiar with The Bear and his friends. Friends such as Wild Mushroom, a.k.a hole number 6. This spunky par 3 is a tough challenge. Or Gitchigummi, hole number 14, a long par four with a water hazard toward the green. Indeed, the legend lives on.
